As I said back in March; we have 74 trays in the polytunnel just for mixed leaves, we bought every possible brand and type in garden centres and on the net and we eventually ended up with two variety’s that grew pretty quickly, were popular in the restaurant and were “cut and come again”.

The two are from Thompson & Morgan and we are going to stick to them for the rest of the summer, however the little packs are €3.05 a go so the next task was to try and buy them in bulk.

Well eventually we got there and wait till you see the difference; One kilo of seeds is now costing €69.00 from the UK (including postage) as opposed to €1,220.00 if we bought a kilo in display packets.
